Where time stands still

First and only time I entered the former sanitarium in the small city of Beelitz, in Brandenburg, I was unaware of the global phenomenon of urban exploration. It was March 2011 when, camera on my neck and a couple of friends on the same artistic mission, I explored the abandoned complex without being caught by the security guard. Back home, a new folder was transferred on my laptop under the name “No man’s place”, and immediately after it was forgotten. About one year later, I recognized this familiar place in photos sold for up to 15€ each at the renowned Sunday flea market of Mauer Park, Berlin. Continue reading
